Domain Name

Domain Name: The "address" or URL of a particular Web site. You can register your own domain name at www.networksolutions.com.

Domain extensions(Domain Codes) vary depending on the site in question:

* COM: An Internet domain used for business or commercial ventures.
* EDU: An Internet domain used for educational facilities.
* GOV: An Internet domain used by the government.
* MIL: An Internet domain used by the military.
* NET: An Internet domain used for network businesses.
* ORG: An Internet domain used for non-profit organizations.

1 bit = a 1 or 0 (b)
4 bits = 1 nybble (?)
8 bits = 1 byte (B)
1024 bytes = 1 Kilobyte (KB)
1024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte (MB)
1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte (GB)
1024 Gigabytes = 1 Terabyte (TB)

The smallest amount of transfer is one bit. It holds the value of a 1, or a 0. (Binary coding). Eight of these 1's and zero's are called a byte.

MS Word 2007 Ribbon




There is one RIBBON, which is divided into 7 tabs and then tabs are divided into GROUPS. Like Home Tab contains a group named Font, which contains commands like font, font size, bold, italic, underline, sub script, super script, font color etc.

Another example is Page Layout tab contains a group "Page Set up" includes commands like Margins, page size, orientations, breaks, line numbers.
